I used to play pickup basketball with some guys who would bring beers to drink after the game. One day, one of the guys of them fell hard on the asphalt and bonked his head. He lay there holding his head, and then ran to the side of the court, where he grabbed a Coors Light out of the bag and held it on the back of his head. Those beers had been sitting out there for a while, so they weren't that cold. I don't know if it helped, but I DO know that right after that he began putting on a lot of weight, (he was like 5’7”, 300 lbs, so it was no joke) and could no longer play. Also he tore his ACL and MCL. He had a history of doing pretty violent stuff, gunplay, etc, and always seemed to be clinging tenuously to the pretense of stability. Hooves for your hands are way different than foot hooves. At the time there was a large online community of people who discussed ways to become horses. After I stumbled onto that one, I became real excited about J.L. Godard. Accidentally finding these things is one of life's great joys, but this seems to happen less now than it used to for me. ONE MORE IMPORTANT NOE: I don’t really watch movies anymore. I just don’t like them! I can’t remember the last movie I watched all the way through. I watched about 40 minutes of “One Battle After Another” and gave up on it because I didn’t enjoy it. I watched “Die Hard” with my kids the other day because we were all watching a movie. It was fine. I really loved it when I saw it the first time, and this time I just thought it was fine. Is this common? People typically like movies. I don’t know. I love film stills! They were, except for one, which languished, unopened, in an Oslo mental institution until it was discovered in 1981. It was in perfect condition! What luck. Think of all the movies that actually have been lost, though. This is what happened to Meredith's great-grandmother. She made a self-financed movie in Iowa (reputedly), circa 1920, and the only print was destroyed while she was trying to find a distributor.
